Time Server

A computer whose clock is very accurate (usually because it has been synchronized with the accurate clock of another computer), and which lets other computers synchronize their clocks to its own.

Computers synchronizing their clocks often communicate with each other using a communication standard known as NTP (Network Time Protocol) or SNTP (Simple Network Time Protocol).
